Every professional on GigsDex goes through the same verification process before their profile becomes discoverable — there's no way to skip it, and no automated shortcut.
A professional picks one document type — Aadhaar, PAN, a trade licence, or another government-issued ID — and uploads a clear front photo (a back photo is optional). The document number is validated for the right format, then stored as a one-way hash. GigsDex never stores the plain document number, and the photos are only ever visible to the admin team reviewing the submission.
A real person on the GigsDex admin team checks every submission — not an algorithm. Typical turnaround is 24–48 hours. If something's unclear or doesn't match, the submission is rejected with a reason, and the professional can resubmit.
Approved profiles get a visible "GigsDex Verified Professional" badge that follows them everywhere they appear in the app — search results, category listings, and their own profile page. Guests can filter search results to show verified professionals only.
Verification confirms identity — it isn't a guarantee of the quality of someone's work. That's what the review system on each profile is for: real, moderated feedback from people who've actually contacted that professional.
