Building a GigsDex Profile That Gets You Contacted

Your GigsDex profile is the only thing a potential client sees before they decide whether to call you. A few honest improvements make a real difference.

Finish your profile completely

Your GigsDex dashboard shows a profile-completion percentage based on eight things: your name, a headline, your bio, a photo, your primary trade, your skills, your years of experience, and at least one public contact method. Profiles need to be reasonably complete before they're eligible to show up in search — so this isn't optional polish, it's the baseline.

Write a headline that says what you actually do

"Certified Electrician, 8 yrs experience" tells a client more in five seconds than a generic title ever will. Be specific about your trade and how long you've been doing it.

Add real photos and videos of your work

Your portfolio is the closest thing to a client seeing your work in person before they call. A handful of clear photos of jobs you're proud of, each with a short description, goes a long way.

Upload your certificates

If you hold a trade certificate or licence, add it. The admin team can verify individual certificates, and a verified certificate shows up as its own badge on your profile.

Keep your working hours accurate

Set real hours for each day of the week. Nothing loses a client's trust faster than being unreachable when your profile says you're available.

List every city you actually serve

GigsDex's "Nearby" search is location-based — if a city you work in isn't listed under "Cities Served," clients there won't find you.
