A lot of platforms in this space make their money by sitting between the professional and the client — a booking fee here, a commission there. GigsDex deliberately doesn't do that.
GigsDex is a discovery platform. It helps a verified professional get found by someone nearby who needs their trade, and it stops there. There's no in-app booking, no in-app payment, and no escrow. When a client taps "Call Now" or "WhatsApp" on a profile, they leave the app and talk directly to the professional — the same way they would if a neighbour had given them the number.
Whatever you agree with a client — the price, the timeline, how you get paid — is entirely between the two of you. GigsDex never takes a percentage of that, because it's never involved in the transaction at all.
It also means GigsDex isn't the one setting prices or promising outcomes. Our Terms are direct about this: GigsDex facilitates discovery only, and the work agreement happens directly between you and the professional. What we do take seriously is who gets to be on the platform in the first place — which is the entire point of the verification process.
